Da Nang means beach days, warm sea and sticky humidity — beautiful for you, tough on a manicure. A few small habits keep your nails looking salon-fresh for the whole trip.
What the beach does to your nails
Saltwater, sand and sunscreen are a polish's worst enemies: salt dulls the shine, sand acts like sandpaper on edges, and oily sunscreen can lift regular polish. Add Da Nang's humidity and air-dry polish simply doesn't last long.
Five easy habits
- Rinse after the beach. A quick freshwater rinse removes salt and sand before they dull or chip your polish.
- Cuticle oil at night. A drop per nail keeps them flexible and glossy in dry hotel air-con.
- Apply sunscreen with the back of your hand, so you're not rubbing oil straight onto fresh polish.
- Wear flip-flops, not closed shoes, for a day or two after a pedicure to avoid smudging.
- Don't pick or peel. If an edge lifts, a salon can fix one nail cheaply — picking damages the natural nail.
