Where to Get Your Nails Done in Da Nang: A Traveler's Guide
Da Nang is one of the best-value places in the world to treat yourself to a manicure or pedicure — a full gel manicure often costs less than a coffee-and-cake back home. But if you're visiting, a few things matter more than price: hygiene, whether the salon can serve you comfortably in English, and how easy it is to book. Here's a quick, honest guide.
1. Check hygiene first
This is the single most important thing. A good salon in Da Nang will:
- Use a heat sterilizer (autoclave) and a UV cabinet for metal tools;
- Open a sealed, single-use kit (file, buffer, liner) in front of you;
- Keep the station and foot spa visibly clean between guests.
Don't be shy about asking to see it — reputable salons are happy to show you. If a place can't answer the question, walk out. (You can see how we do it on our hygiene page, which includes a short video of the actual process.)
2. Know what things cost
Prices in Da Nang are refreshingly low and usually posted openly. As a rough guide (in Vietnamese Dong, where about 25,000₫ ≈ US$1):
| Service | Typical price |
|---|---|
| Classic manicure | 70,000₫ (~$3) |
| Manicure + gel color | 200,000₫ (~$8) |
| Pedicure | 70,000₫ (~$3) |
| Nail art / special design | from 320,000₫ (~$13) |
| Nail extensions (tip + gel) | 400,000₫ (~$16) |

3. Booking & language
Most tourist-friendly salons take walk-ins, but the beach-area salons get busy in the evening, so a quick message ahead saves waiting. The easiest way is WhatsApp — you can send a photo of the design you want, and staff who are used to international guests will reply in English. At LENA you can message us on WhatsApp (+84 799 144 968) or use the online booking form.
4. Paying
Cash (Vietnamese Dong) is simplest. Many salons also take cards and bank transfer, though card payments sometimes carry a small surcharge (ours is 4%). It's worth carrying some cash for the exact, posted price.
5. Where the salons are
Two areas are most convenient for visitors: the An Thuong / My An beach neighbourhood (walkable from many hotels and homestays), and the An Hai / Son Tra side near the Han River. LENA has three branches across these areas:
- 89 Pham Tu, An Hai, Son Tra
- 211/88 Nguyen Van Thoai, An Hai
- 34 An Thuong 3, My An, Ngu Hanh Son
