Hygiene & Guarantee at LENA Nails & Beauty

What Is Inside a Single-Use Nail Kit?

A single-use nail kit at LENA contains four items: a nail file, a buffer, a heel scrubber and a toe separator. The kit is fresh for each guest and is not reused. Metal tools are cleaned separately in several steps, and acrylic and gel services may use specialist files and buffers apart from the kit.

The 4 items, one by one

A single-use nail kit at LENA contains four items: a nail file, a buffer, a heel scrubber and a toe separator. The kit is fresh for each guest and is not reused, so the items you receive have not been used for another guest before you. The four items cover filing, smoothing, heel care and toe separation, and each one has a separate job during your service.

The kit is the same at Son Tra, An Hai and An Thuong, so you can expect the same four items whichever branch you visit. Metal tools are not part of the kit, and they are cleaned separately in several steps after each guest. If you would like to see the kit before your service starts, ask the team to show it to you.

Nail file

The nail file shapes the edge of the nail and shortens it to the length you want. Your technician uses the file from your fresh kit, and the file is not used again for another guest after your service. If you prefer a shorter or softer edge, tell the technician before filing starts, so the shape can be adjusted while you watch.

A file from the kit is for filing natural nails during your service, and it is separate from the specialist files that may be used for acrylic and gel services. Those specialist files and buffers are kept apart from the single-use kit, so the kit stays the same four items for every guest. Ask the team if you are unsure which file is being used for your service.

Buffer

The buffer smooths the surface of the nail after filing, so the nail feels even before polish or gel is applied. Your buffer comes from your fresh kit and is not reused for another guest. A smooth surface also helps the technician see the shape clearly before the next step of your service begins.

Like the file, the buffer in the kit is for general use during your service, while specialist buffers for acrylic and gel may be used separately. This separation keeps the kit simple to check: four items, each for one guest only. If the buffer feels rough or you want a gentler pass, say so and the technician can adjust.

Heel scrubber

The heel scrubber is used during a pedicure to care for the skin on the heels and the soles of the feet. It comes from your fresh kit, so the scrubber used for your pedicure has not been used for another guest. Heel care is part of the pedicure routine, and the technician will work gently and stop if you feel discomfort.

Because the heel scrubber is a single-use item, it is not kept for the next guest after your pedicure. A fresh basin liner is also placed inside the footbath for each guest, and technicians wear gloves for pedicures. Together, the fresh kit, the liner and the gloves form the pedicure preparation you can check when you arrive.

Toe separator

The toe separator keeps your toes apart while polish or gel is applied, so colour does not smudge between neighbouring toes. It comes from your fresh kit and is used for one guest only. The separator is placed gently, and you can ask the technician to adjust it if it feels tight or uncomfortable.

After your polish or gel is applied, the separator stays in place while the colour sets, then it is removed before you leave. Because it is part of the single-use kit, it is not washed and kept for another guest. If you have sensitive toes, tell the team before the service starts so they can take extra care.

What is not in the kit

Metal tools are not in the single-use kit. After each guest, metal tools are soaked, scrubbed and cleaned in several steps, then kept in individual pouches in a UV cabinet until they are opened in front of you. The UV cabinet supports disinfection on surfaces directly exposed to UV, as an added step after cleaning.

Specialist files and buffers for acrylic and gel services are also not part of the kit, and they are kept separate from the four single-use items. The basin liner, gloves and warm towels are likewise separate from the kit: a fresh liner is used for each pedicure, gloves are worn for pedicures, and the heated cabinet warms towels, up to 80°C.

How to check the kit when you arrive

When you arrive, ask the team to show the fresh kit before your service starts. You can check that the kit contains a nail file, a buffer, a heel scrubber and a toe separator, and that the items are fresh for you. If anything is unclear, ask the team to explain each item in plain words before you sit down.

For metal tools, look for the individual pouch and ask the team to open it in front of you. Staff speak English and Vietnamese, so you can ask in either language. If you are having a manicure and would like your technician to wear gloves, ask before the service starts, and the team can confirm what will happen.
