When to Book Waxing on a Da Nang Trip
Waxing has two rules that fight each other on a holiday. Hair needs two to three weeks of growth to be waxable, and skin needs about 24 hours afterwards before sun or seawater. Get the order wrong and you either can't be waxed at all, or you lose a beach day. Here's how to fit it in.
The two rules, in plain terms
- Before: about 5 mm of hair — roughly a grain of rice. That's two to three weeks of growth. Shorter than that and the wax has nothing to grip.
- After: 24 hours away from direct sun, seawater, pools, hot showers and saunas. Follicles are open and Da Nang sun is strong.

The mistake almost everyone makes
Don't shave in the week before you fly.
It's the most common thing that goes wrong. People tidy up before a holiday, arrive in Da Nang, and find the hair is far too short to wax. Then they're waiting until halfway through the trip.
If you know you want waxing on the trip, leave it alone from about three weeks out. That single decision is what makes the rest possible.
A one-week trip

If day 1 is impossible, day 2 in the evening is the next best thing — evenings are our busiest hours, so message ahead.
A two-week trip
You have more room, so use it. Day 1 or 2 still works best, and results typically last three to four weeks, so one appointment covers the whole trip.
The alternative worth considering: if the second week has the bigger beach plans or the photos that matter, book waxing for the evening before that block rather than on arrival. Fresher is not always better — skin looks calmest about two days after, not two hours.

Combining it with nails
Most of our guests do both in one visit, and it's the efficient way to do it. Eyebrows take about 20 minutes, so they slot in alongside a gel manicure without stretching the appointment. Legs take longer — 30 to 50 minutes — so allow for that if you're pairing it with a pedicure.
One caveat: a pedicure involves soaking your feet, and freshly waxed legs shouldn't go into hot water. Do the nails first, then the waxing, not the other way round. Just tell your therapist the order you want and she'll arrange it.

Where to book it
Waxing is available at all four branches and every treatment is performed by a female therapist. The Hai Chau branch at 68/4 Bach Dang is the one with a dedicated private room with a door — that's the one to pick for bikini or Brazilian waxing. For brows, legs or arms, any branch is fine, so choose whichever is closest to your hotel.
